“Code of The Road Runner” is the debut album from Sandman (aka Lucid Mover), a north London MC and Producer who has been carving out his own niche in the UK music scene over the past year.

Throughout 2008 Sandman mesmerised crowds across the UK and Europe supporting a wide variety of established acts from pioneering Dance DJs like MJ Cole, Benga, N-Type and Digital Mystikz to legendary Reggae artists such as Junior Kelly, Macka B and Iration Steppaz.

He headlined the first nights at Wroclove Festival (Poland) and Secret Garden Party (UK) and holds a residency at London club nights Deviate and Reggae Roast.

He has also played alongside Dub pioneer Adrian Sherwood, supporting Reverend and The Makers and toured several dates in Europe with Asian Dub Foundation, after a standout appearance on their new album “Punkara”.

In 2007 Sandman teamed up with Ghetto Priest and DJ Exel to form Screaming Soul, their debut album is entitled “Ghost In A Shell” and draws on the collectives broadly eclectic musical influences and fiery apocalyptic imaginations to forge their own unique sound that “makes Massive Attack sound like The Monkeys” – Notion Magazine (Sep 2008)

Sandman spent several years at the helm of UK Hip-Hop super crew Underground Alliance (UNDALI), where he was heavily involved in both the business and musical aspects of the group, helping to launch the careers of artists such as Skrein, Stig of The Dump, DJ Moodie and many others. He also worked alongside some of the scene’s most influential acts including Skinnyman, Task Force and Foreign Beggars.

Future projects include collaborations with Adrian Sherwood (On-U Sound), Skip “Little Axe” McDonald (Tackhead/Sugar Hill Gang), DJ Moodie (Reggae Roast), Seanie T, Denise Sherwood and DefDFires not to mention a plethora of lesser-known artists.
